Behind the Sudden Death of Conway Twitty - American Songwriter

Conway Twitty’s final concert took place on June 4, 1993, at the Jim Stafford Theatre in Branson, Missouri. After the performance, he collapsed on his tour bus and was rushed to a hospital, where he underwent surgery for an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Sadly, he passed away the following morning, on June 5, 1993, at the age of 59.

Prior to this, Twitty had a series of performances in 1992, including shows in Dayton, Ohio, Peoria, Illinois, and Branson, Missouri. These concerts were part of his final tour dates, which concluded in early 1993.

One of his last televised performances was on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in January 1993, where he delivered a spirited rendition of “Crazy In Love.” This appearance remains a cherished memory for fans, showcasing his enduring talent and charisma.
