Alan Jackson Lights Up The ACM Awards Stage With Performance Of SONG

On Thursday, May 8, the ACM Awards took place in Frisco, Texas, at the Ford Center.

Country music stars and legends all came together to celebrate one of the biggest nights in the genre. Many well-deserving artists were nominated and took home awards honoring their work over the past year.

In addition to the awards, the night was packed with incredible performances.

One of the most talked about performances came from country icon Alan Jackson, who made a memorable return to the ACM stage to sing “Remember When.”

Jackson is no stranger to the ACM Awards. In fact, he once co-hosted the show back in 1994 alongside Reba McEntire for the 29th annual ceremony.

He’s also known for a bold moment that’s gone down in award show history. Nobody could ever forget when he subtly protested the event during one of his performances.

But even after that, his relationship with the ACMs remained strong. Just last year, the “Chattahoochee” singer was honored with the ACM Poets Award. The award was presented during the ACM Honors ceremony, which follows shortly after the initial awards show.

Reba McEntire welcomed Alan Jackson to the stage. He then broke into an emotional performance of his hit song “Remember When.”

The song was originally released in 2003, and the track served as the second single from his compilation album Greatest Hits Volume II.

Jackson was also the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award right after his performance. He was given the award in honor of everything he has done to shape the country music genre over his long career.
